Default HALP! First time CO washing - is this normal??

My hair looks FREAKING AWESOME!!!

The pic of the back looks fuzzy/blurry/gross, because I had to take a pic of my reflection in a mirror.

I have to work on getting some volume at my roots. Clipping the roots, I know...but I don't have any clips right now. Just some huge plastic ones.

Today I used V05 Moisture Milks conditioner for my poo'der, GVP Conditioning Balm as my regular conditioner, then - on soaking wet hair - GVP Conditioning Balm as a leave-in, Jason Curl Defining Cream, and Aura Hypoallergenic Gel on top of it. Plopped for about ten minutes, diffused on low fan + high heat.

And before I forget: Can anyone suggest a good spray gel or refresher or something, that I can spritz on my canopy mid-day, to refresh and "rebounce" my curls? Thanks!

Very nice!! WooHoo!!! Love when that happens!!

Refresher sprays, hmm...I can't think of any on ground. You can make your own with some lavendar essential oil and distilled water. I've made some in the summer with some lavendar EO, distilled water, and glycerin. Depends on the time of year. Give it a go!

Very impressive.
I use the garnier curl shaping spray gel if I need a bit more hold the third day. It is a perfectly fine spray gel, nothing amazing.

I may look into that, pedaheh. Thanks for the rec! I suppose any spray gel would work, so long as the ingredients are o.k.

beautiful! I'm jealous you have sooo much curl with the length of your hair. I have a little bit shorter hair than you (maybe a little more than a "bit" and i don't have nearly as much curl.

Your hair looks fantastic! You think there is no volume to your roots? Honey I'd give a limb to have the volume you have!!

I will have to take a "straight on" picture sometime, to show the volume (or lack thereof!) at my roots.
