Default Solid Gold!!!

Just want to let you know I find your name endlessly entertaining. Remember the 80's TV show? If not click here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh-AGm0Jwx0
Every time I read your name I hear dione warwick sing "Solid Gold!". I picture the solid gold dancers in bedazzled leotards and big perms. They are forming a dance pyramid and reaching for the sky with their jazz hands. (happens at 5:02 in the video). Makes me giggle every time. I'm weird, I know.

Peda, you're so funny. You and Del2C and I can be the new solid gold dancers (she said pretty much the same thing to me). I'm wearing my gold bikini right now and working on my jazz hands. And, in a coincidental twist, I'm actually in Warwick (NY) at this very moment.

I so wanted to be one of those solid gold dancers when I was 7. I thought they were the hottest thing next to Olivia Newton John in Grease.

Girl! I about fell on my butt laughing at song #7 with dude in the silver knee highs and vest. I loved it so much I had to post it to my facebook wall so ALL could enjoy the timeless beauty of 1980. I am taking my first Tango class tonight (for real) and am pretty sure I'm gonna be Solid Gold qualified by the end of the night...

omg I heard Neil Diamond and I nearly died. My mother loved that man. I have been to no less than two Neil Diamond Concerts. I know all of his songs by heart hah. I have seen the Jazz Singer a bajillion times. Its just so much a part of my childhood I can't hate it hah.

On a side note, he's a great performer in person hah.

My personal favorite is the #1 song "Lady" by Kenny Rogers. The chirography is amazing. First they each take turns looking wistfully at the camera and then they bring it home with the synchronized shoulder roll. Takes your breath away.

I LOVE Neil Diamond, him and Barry Manilow, LOVE. Have you seen the SNL skit with Will Ferrel playing Neil Diamond on Behind the Music. He talks about how he got he idea for "Blue Jeans" after killing a homeless guy. It is one of Will's best skits, I think.

My first concert ever was Barry Manilow--my mom took me because my dad didn't want to go. I was 6.

Maybe we should be the Curly Gold dancers!

We got at least a foot here... glad I don't have to leave the house. It sure is beautiful in this area! My parents moved here in the early 80s, and I left in the early 90s for college and beyond, and I do love to visit because it's so beautiful and rural.

Yeah, that's why i live below the Mason Dixon line tho...Not a lot of the white crap that falls from the sky!!! When we visit its between May to Oct 1st never before never after. I love my home state but only in the warmer months. My MIL lives in the Mtns so pretty, literally a one horse town...its funny when we drive up as soon as we hit PA the drivers are more aggressive i always say to myself "ahhh home"
