Time for some PJ action -- curl enhancers?

Hello all. I've been using my KCCC and HESMU/HETT gel for a few months now on a consistent basis, and I'm getting a little bored. I'd like to have more things in my arsenal, and maybe something to encourage more curl.

When Runner gets her curl jelly back, I'd like to try it (no rush, Runner!). I've thought about Re:Coil. Does anyone have any suggestions? My stats are in my siggie, but I'm medium texture, medium-high porosity, medium thickness.

I've also decided that I'm making a Sally's run, because there's one only 3 blocks from my office. I'm planning on picking up GVPCB and some Lustrasilk, maybe some of the Ion protein packets that Peda is always raving about (Peda, do they have mineral oil?). Is there anything else that you guys can't live without from there?

Thanks in advance!

Some people like the Bioterra Curl Cream and Gel. I didn't have much success with them (made me fluffy), but many did/do. Good thing about Sally's is that they have a satisfaction guarantee - if you don't like it you can return it no problem.

If your hair likes protein, I'd look for some styling products with it for curl enchancement. Alot of the Curl Junkie stylers have protein and the LA Looks Curl gel does also. (None of these are Sally though )

I've used Re:coil and liked it ok. It definitely enhances curls but most people have to rotate it fairly frequently to prevent problems with the magnesium sulphate dryness.

I know nothing about curl enhancers.
Ion protein packs don't have mineral oil. They are the prefect amount of protein for me. People who need serious amounts of protein will find these packs weak and puny. They have the aphogee 2 step if you want a huge punch of protein. Mineral oil is in the second step. Ecostyler is on sale this month. Ecostyler has protein and glycerine. Sally girl eyeshadows are quite good and only 1$. I like the ion demi hair dye. I think Goob liked the sally girl lip gloss. Have fun shopping.

Yes, goob seconds the sally girl lip gloss and eyeshadows. So much fun for only a buck! The eyeshadows are on the soft side, but have a good amount of pigment. Wayyyy better than revlon. The glosses have a decent amt of pigment, they just don't last very long. That's my semi professional opinion. hah.

I can't live without Ion's Volumizing Solutions Vitalizing Thickener. Its in a little blue bottle and I love it! I posted a review on the Reader's review board. I use it as a curl enhancer with light hold. It's definitely not natural, but its a great item to have in the cabinet! Its one of my go-to items. I use it over a leave-in and under a harder hold gel, but if you don't need the hard hold, then I bet you could get away with it being your only styler.

I also liked the Ion Reconstructor packet -- I found it to be a little better than the Effective care. Its the one with Keratin in it, I just don't remember if it had mineral oil.

Yay for all the great suggestions! I knew you wouldn't let me down!

I'll make a list and stop by Sally's after I'm out of work today. I've been meaning to go for quite some time, but I just keep forgetting. Since I'm not really sure what products my hair really loves, it's nice to try some different things that won't cost me an arm and a leg. For instance, I use products with some protein in the shower, so I know it likes protein, but I've never done an actual treatment. I was thinking of trying the Ion packets, and maybe Nexxus Emergencee, before trying something harder like Aphrogee.

And Whatsercurl, I really do have to try the CJ products. I'll look into that this weekend. Yay for experimentation!

I love Biotera styling gel! It's light-medium hold and it is great mixed with other gels and other products generally. I just placed a Sally's order (I'm think I've become a PJ) and bought the Biotera curl creme. I haven't tried it before. I also ordered a Denman brush. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I had to see what all the hype was about. Have fun at Sally's!

I got:
Ecostyler Krystal (whoa, that tub is HUGE)
Lustrasilk Mango
Lustrasilk Olive Oil
2 Ion Effective Care treatments
2 Ion Reconstructing Treatments
Biotera Curl Creme
Biotera Styling Gel
GVPCB
Volumizing Solutions Vitalizing Thickener

All for $45. Ridiculous!

ETA: I just used one of the Ion Reconstructing Treatments (color appointment this weekend, and my stylist recommended a PT), and I'm in the middle of my GVPCB DT. Can I just say, O.M.G.? The CB is fantastic. I usually use SO much condish after a PT. I used less than half my normal amount because it's that thick and awesome. I even like the scent -- it reminds me of a salon product I used to use in college.

I am so jealous of your new products!!!! Mousse works great to enhance curls. My fave is Aussie Aussome Volume, but I rotate in HETT and HEBE. I use a LI, mousse, then curl creme and/or gel in soaking wet hair.
