Default Just purchased TONS of hair products...

Drugstore.com:
- Aquis microfiber towel
- VO5 Tea Therapy 'Blackberry Sage' conditioner
- Yes to Carrots shampoo
- Giovanni Direct Leave-In (one of my all-time faves!)
- Giovanni Smooth As Silk Xtreme Protein Hair Infusion

Sallybeauty.com:
- GVPCB (another all-time fave!)
- Revlon Wig-Lift Comb (reaaalllly wide-toothed!)
- Eco Styler Krystal Styling Gel

I hemmed and hawed, trying to determine what shampoo to get for my "shampoo days." I had the Giovanni 50:50 in my basket, but at the last minute I opted for the Yes To Carrots. They've recently reformulated it, and it no longer has SLS in it.

I am still awaiting my flaxseed gel from Etsy (BB). Not sure how long it's supposed to take for that to come....but it's been about 6 days since I paid (and, BB and I are both in the same state, so shipping should only take a day!)

I haven't shampooed my hair yet, and it's been 7 days. Things are going great! My hair isn't an greasier than it normally would be, which is a bit of a shock to me. I thought for sure my scalp would be like an oil slick, with no shampoo!

I also had a product-spree today!

I finally walked down to Sally's after work and picked up GVPCB (OMG I'm in love), Ecostyler, Biotera Curl Creme, Biotera Styling Gel, Lustrasilk Mango, Lustrasilk Olive Oil, and some Ion Protein packs. So excited to try them all!

Let me know how you like the Biotera gel and cream, and the Lustrasilk products. I passed up on the Lustrasilk, but have been reading a lot of good reviews!!

I used the Biotera Curl Cream and Lustrasilk Mango tonight.

The jury is out on the Curl Cream (but for $7, it doesn't matter if it's just so-so). I need to use it with a gel that I'm familiar with to see how it reacts.

As far as Lustrasilk, I am in love (I used the Mango tonight). Keep in mind that my hair is fairly porous, and pretty much can't get enough moisture, but I used it to SOTC today, and it was fantastic. I'm interested to try it as a DT and as a rinse out/leave-in as well.

We like the Shea Mango here as well as the Olive Oil one..Olive oil for leave in only (doesn't do great as a rinse out or DT). If you see it pick up the Lustrasilk Organic one with Argan Oil..we love it!!!

They're so cheap for the amount of product!

Why did I not buy this stuff from Sally's today?

Where do you find the organic variety?

I checked Sally's website, and they have the olive oil, herbal, shea (which is orange in color - I am assuming it has mango in it?) and aloe vera.

I got the Olive Oil and Shea (yeah, that's the one with Mango). The herbal that I saw in the store has dreaded mineral oil. For some, it's fine, but for me it makes my hair instantly limp and gross.

Thanks for the tip on the organic one, Alex! I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm also planning on trying the Olive Oil as a leave-in later this weekend. I'm very excited to have found these. They're super rich, which my hair loves.
