looking for a good styling cream/ gel for wavy hair

I am new to CG and am looking for a styling gel or cream for my hair. I have wavy hair that is thick and on the coarse side - though much better since not shampooing. I really don't want to go through a lot of trouble to make my hair do what it won't do but would like a very good product that will support the health of my hair and that will help to calm down frizz. I have been reading the posts for wavy hair and have got some clues for no-poo cleansers and for conditioners but I cannot seem to find anything for styling. Can someone help me out?
Aussie Tizz No Frizz and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted are good light gels. If you need a little more hold, Herbal Essences Set Me Up gel has a lot of fans. It's a little more crunch-prone, but it's not hard to scrunch it out.

I haven't tried any creams yet, so I can't help you with that, sorry.

2c (Fia) with some 3a in the middle layer
You may want to try the Curls line here. You can get samples here.

They're cream stylers and most people have success with them, especially the Milkshake (or Curly Q Milkshake which is the kids version and equally as good, just a little cheaper), Spiral Cream or the Souffle.

Other good stuff to try is the Ecstasy Asian Hair Tea Conditioner, Goddess Glaze, and the Quenched Moisturizer (good as a base for all Curls stuff).

Jessicurl stuff is good, too, especially the Too Shea, Rockin' Ringlets and Confident Coils Styling Solution.

Best definition winner: KCCC
Best volume winner: LOOB
I can't handle stuff with so much oil in it sooooooo I like the Curl Junkie gava curl creme. Boots is good too for a creme styler.
For conditioners that work well with light gels that are good for wavy hair DevaCurl OneC is good and I use Angell on top, it really makes my hair curlier.
2c/3a?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
