Suave Naturals has EDTA which is a chelating agent and might help hard water buildup. If your hair isn't easily weighed down, the Suave could also be used as leave in.

You might want to try to find 2 or 3 different things that you like- VO5 or Tressemme Naturals, perhaps- NOT garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition conditioner (the ingredients were recently changed) so you can cycle products. Many find using the same products day after day can cause them to stop working.

Living in the desert, I have had it suggested to me that I use a heat protectant in the outdoors during the hot weather, and I have started using leave ins daily and sometimes spraying my hair with a conditioner water mixture (50/50) at least once during the day.

Not knowing your hair properties ([fine, medium, or coarse] porosity, and elasticity) makes other suggestions more difficult. The properties help us to know what ingredients (protein, etc.) will work for you, and helps in product recommendations.

Experimenting with too many products to name here. All this great info keeps my head spinning.
