I got 2-3 inches cut off my ends yesterday. When I got home and washed my hair (my stylist cuts in dry), I couldn't believe how much of it is natural now that I cut some off. It was a little scary to cut it, but I couldn't be happier with the decision. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's made a HUGE difference! It was easier to detangle and roller set and it cut my drying time down. And the best part is that in the very back and on my sides, I'm mostly natural...there's about 1-2 inches left of relaxer on those sections. I can def see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!

So if you're transitioning and you have long relaxed ends, don't be scared to start cutting them. I now plan to cut 1-2 inches every month or two now. It's only a matter of time before the relaxer is gone. Here are some pics: Before my cut, after my cut, and after my cut with freshly washed hair (leave in conditioner applied).
