I'd call your hair 3a, and what Corinna describes is exactly what my hair does too, I just dont do well with ultra hard hold & grabby stuff. My hair has days where it looks more 2c but it behaves like 3a & the texture is fine like Walker described 3a to be. But I still hang out on the 2 board because it is more active
