Ditto. When my hair dried after the gelatin treatment the first time, it made my hair so smooth and straight, but not the effect I was going for. However, while my hair was wet, it was the curliest it's ever been, then dried the straight (which usually happens, but not that curly when wet, and at least a slight wave when dry). Next time, I'll try clarifying before doing a protein treatment.

You could try a salty Spray (beach spray) or a hairmist with some honey added to it and scrunch with a bit of AVG.
That has helped me that time.
