I had my laproscopic hysterectomy 6 years ago when I was 31. I had terrible endo, fibroids, nonstop bleeding, terrible pain, nausea...well, basically no medicine would stop my bleeding or control the pain. I had both ovaries, uterus, and cervix removed. I had a bladder tack done at the same time. I regret none of it. This is the first time in years I'm pain free, not anemic, and I actually physically feel good and have engergy. I went into the hospital and was discharged 26 hours later. I have never had any problems or any real concerns. The doctor removed all the endo he could. I have it on my bowels and it occasionally acts up but that's due to the endo and not a side effect of my hysterectomy. I started on hormones before surgery and have only had a few hot flashes and no other really bad menopausal symptoms.
