I want to know too- how do we "steam"?

ETA: I just found this from an earlier post by Kathymack:
"Hair steamers are actually a piece of equipment one would find at a salon. Looks like a hard bonnet dryer, that you add water and it provides steam. It helps with "treatments." Salon Hair Steamer - Sam's Club

A way to "steam" at home, without making and expensive purchase is to buy inexpensive terry hair turbans and plastic shower caps. Both are available at Sally's. Layers go as follows: put your treatment on your hair, shower cap, damp terry turban, shower cap. Then you sit under a hard bonnet dryer or use one of those microwave/plug in heat caps."
