Mom's hair: fine, porous, dense, stick straight
Dad's hair: medium-to-coarse, wavy (2c-ish), medium density
My hair: fine, porous, dense, 2c-3a. Kind of the worst of both worlds, in terms of how hard my hair is to deal with. Getting my mom's texture + dad's curl pattern makes it frizzy and wild and hard to take care of.
My brother is in the exact same boat, but he's never minded, because he's a heavy metal guitarist. No, I am not kidding. I have naturally fluffy heavy metal hair.
