I keep my nails short - it's a personal preference (the older I get, the more long nails kind of gross me out), and my polish lasts WAY longer on short nails. I just love the look of short nails - very 1940s, especially in bright red or super-dark cream polishes. And I think shorter nails are more suited to working in an office. All just my opinion, of course.
