I have no issues with rotating amodimethicone into my routine. I consider it one of the "less evil" silicones (only cyclo-cones are less evil because they evaporate off of the hair during the drying process, and of course I don't consider the water-soluble stuff evil at all). It doesn't build up like some of the other cones can, but you will still need a cleanser with coco betaine to remove it (just to make sure you're getting moisture into your hair). Since it doesn't build up, you technically wouldn't need to use coco betaine every time you cleanse, just as you feel you need it.
