Part of that is true the darker you are the more protection you have from the sun and denser hair protects you from getting burned on your scalp. That's why as you go towards the equator ppl tend to be darker and have denser hair. But the way they asked was stupid

Amen! People sometimes think they know everything. They see me and assume right off the bat that I am from Africa. My forefathers, yeah! But I am 100% Jamaican born& raised. Not that I would have been ashamed if I was born and raised in Africa....but...I wasn't.
