I trim mine, I used to go to hairdressers every once in a while when I had length to spare, but lately I've just been trying to grow my hair out, and have been trimming it by myself. Sometimes I'm not thrilled with the results, like my most recent job on my bangs, but it's never the hack job that I sometimes get at the salon. I think I'll splurge on one really good cut a year, and do upkeep by myself. I'll admit though, I'm kind of afraid of hairdressers because I never know what I'm going to get. It might be awesome, but it might leave me in tears. When I do it myself, it's always ok at least, and with practice it's been getting better.
