My mom went to cosmotology school and did my bc. She Shaped me up well and that makes a huge difference for how hair looks growing out. Since then I have done my own trims. Looks good. I don't straighten so I dont care about being perfectly even. I would let my mom do a major cut but I don't trust salons. Bad memories of having my scalp fried way too many times and them acting like it was no big deal. I would rather risk screwing up my own hair than pay someone else to do it.
