Oh my hair absolutely hated LALSG! I figured it was something with the protein/glycerin in it.
I'd try Aussie Instant Freeze or if your hair doesn't mind glycerin, then Ecostyler Krystal. Both are cheap. The Ecostyler is much "grabbier" than other gels. And if you are willing to splurge, you could try Kinky Curly Curling Custard. It can be a hit or miss though!
You can find the AIF at about any drugstore, Ecostyler at Sally's, CVS, and probably most drugstores, and KCCC at Target.
