My whole family has pretty bad dandruff so I think it's genetic somehow. I've been told by a few people that the no-poo thing might be a really good transition for me, but how will I treat my dandruff without dandruff shampoo?

I'm currently using Neem & Shea Butter Scalp Recovery Shampoo
Ingredients:
Neem (Azadirachta indica) Leaf Extract (Aqueous), African Black Soap (Saponified Shea (Butyrosperum parkii) Butter and Virgin Palm Kernel (Elaeis guineensis) Oil), Decyl Polyglucose, Vegetable Glycerin, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Essential Oils of rosemary, Lavender and Tea Tree.

Would it be okay to keep using this shampoo? I try to only use it about once a week.

I'm also using Herbal Essences Toustle Me Softly conditioner. I know the shampoo is supposed to be bad but is the conditioner also bad? And/or is there a different conditioner I should be using?

I have really dry eastern-european/jewish hair, 2C and I'm trying to grow it out past my shoulders for the first time in my life. (It has been so damaged in the past that that has been its terminal length.)
