My hair has been natural all my life, and I recently got highlights on September 22nd. However, I've always worn my hair straight, and I'd like to be able to wear it curly. I think I'm between a 3C and a 4A hair type. My hair is extremely thick & tangly. It hurts like crap to try and comb it out. I'm 16 and I'd really like to embrace my natural beauty. I'd like to know what to do to be able to wear my hair curly.
This is a picture of me in 6th or 7th grade with my curly hair. It is now a bit thicker, and a inch or so longer (I am in 11th grade now). In this picture, I already had conditioner applied to my hair, so it's curlier than it appears in these photos.
My hair now straight: (I tried to upload a recent pic, but tinypic was NOT cooperating
Here's a picture of my hair recent w/ my new highlights (I promise the link is valid, it's a Google Chrome link to my Facebook because my Facebook is private).
Long story short, can anyone help me?
**Sorry the pics are so big. They came from my old phone.
