Yes true. Through first hand experience though I can attest that the officers working in the state run facilities have a good amount of training and hopefully that would not happen. My understanding is that the facilities which have been privatized have their own standards & practices for hiring/training the guards/officers.

I'm still so overwhelmed by the entire story. I'm proud of Fl Senator Nelson, who is urging the state to explore the facilities further.
Standards are higher now from a state perspective, but that what happened in Marianna had something to do with that. I was overwhelmed when heard about it years ago.

I would expect no less from Senator Nelson.
