I'm also a 2cish and find that if I used even a wide tooth comb after I get out of the shower it just breaks the curl up too much and I lose all the definition I was striving for. I don't even comb second day hair anymore. I'm willing to run my fingers through it after I've spritzed it with water, but even then I started at the nape of my neck and only detangle the curls on top if absolutely necessary.
