Well, if I don't comb it out, I have frizz. (And crazy tangles.) I use a wide tooth and then a fine tooth comb, loosen the roots, run the water over it, then finger comb which makes the clumps. I then scrunch the curls back in, and until it stops dripping.
Then I get out and seal, add some gel, scrunching the curl in an maintaining the clumps. Then I scrunch with a MF towel (tho a t-shirt works ok, too. As does a normal towel, if you handle with care.)
For plopping, I use a rectangular MF towel that I fold I to a triangle (except it has 2 top points since it's a rectangle). I put my forehead down on the folded end , lay the two top points onto the back of my head, then wrap the two long side points around the back and tie in place.
If you don't have a MF towel, a large cotton t can be used the same way! Or a long sleeve t - you can put the collar by your forehead, and use the sleeves to tie it in place!
