CurlTalk - View Single Post - cheap conditioner for washing followed by better one for ends?

Sorry if this info is here somewhere but I'm having trouble finding it. When co-washing, do you use a cheap product like VO5 conditioner on roots, then rinse and use a better moisturizing conditioner on the ends while showering, then rinse that off? Then, for me, I'd usually follow with a leave-in conditioner and styling product.
