Curly Sara, I have no problems with the glycerin during winter. I add it just because it was in the recipe. Many say that it is a myth the say that glycerin should be avoided in winter. So long as a lot of water is mixed with the glycerin (used on wet hair after washing hair or using water spray for second etc day hair), there will more than
enough water in the hair to "satiate" the glycerin; and your hair will not be dry.
