I recently was talking with a friend who has curly hair and we had this discussion.
When I was 11 years old I hated my hair. My mom was always making me brush it out (can you say fuzzball?) and I hated my smaller diameter curls and wanted the larger looser curls that I felt we're pretty. So, I got it into my head that if I could get a perm with larger rollers, my hair would curl differently. Needless to say, my mom and hair stylist looked at each other and tried their best to convince me not to do it, but stubborn as I was I could not be convinced. I got the perm and no kidding....Rosanne Rosannadana
was my nickname that year!!
