Opioids paralyze the bowel so you need
more than the typical fiber and water to get things going. My dr puts all his patients on activating laxatives. Since being on the magnesium, I dont need anything else. Not sure why most drs dont give out this info before there's a problem.

My dad is having his second knee replacement in April. Not an easy surgery. Hope your dad is doing well.
