I agree with KathyMack about learning your hair properties. This will help tremendously. Those with fine hair tend to not like the denman because it loosens their curls too much and can cause breakage. I have medium coarse hair and I love the denman. It helps bring my hair together so that the clumps/ curls are more uniform. I use it when my hair is soaked with conditioner.
