Welcome, nickysmom13! I fought my curls for years. It was a daily battle of soup cans in the 70s, hot rollers in the 80s, blow dryers and buns in the 90s and then I discovered the flat iron. I can't tell you how many of those I burned out before I burned out. I just got tired of fighting. In doing some research, I stumbled on this website and never looked back. I went through several phases. At first I was excited, then cautiously optimistic, then frustrated, followed by determined and finally I am wavering between acceptance and thrilled.
Hang in there and don't let the failed experiments get you down. Healthy hair is beautiful hair. Even if my curls aren't always perfectly coiled, my hair always looks healthy. I ain't complaining!
Good luck to you! Keep us posted on your progress!
