I totally agree with Ericachristina and Jessiebanana, these "fairy knots" (should be called "demon knots!"
) need to be snipped off asap. When I was younger I had no idea what they were and I left them on. Well, after a few months most of my hair had them and it had turned into tangle city! I had to cut a lot of hair off at that point. Now, I do a "search and destroy" on these knots at least once a month. There's no way to ever "untie" them, so unfortunately cutting them off is the only method.
