My hair doesn't like silicones. It laughs at them all--- dimethicone, amodimethicone (took me a while to figure this one out), methicone, and the -xanes. (And I do wash with a low-poo on a semi-regular basis...)

It just has never worked. Ever.

I realize that a lot of people have success with cones, but I can, with a good amount of confidence, say that I'm never going to be one of those people.

The end mantra, of course, would just be: Do what works for you.
This is me. Cones have always left a film on my hair and sulfate shampoos with the exception of Nexxus Moisture Therappe shampoo were always drying. I dont use cones period water soluble or otherwise. I've been modified CG (i use combs and castor oil) for over 2yrs now and my scalp and hair have never been happier. (I've BC twice)

But if cones work for your hair that is great. All of us have a unique DNA and noone can tell you what is best for you other than YOU.
Do combs and castor oil make you mod? I would still consider you full CG!
Well she said that castor oil isn't water soluble and not to use combs...lol Thanks!
