i was sort of thinking that too. plus i would wonder if the grit would snag my "highly textured" hair. i never really got into the matte thing for myself, smooth and shiny oh and sparkles are enough to make me smile. it is an interesting new product development. it seems there's been more new polish stuff in the past year than in the past 10 years combined.
