Humectants can be found in most hair and skin products. Humectants are ingredients that draw moisture from the air to your hair/skin. It keeps your hair/skin moisturized. However, when the dew point is either very low or very high, the opposite happens. Moist gets drawn to the point where there is more moist. So when the dew point is too high or too low, moisture gets drawn from your hair and your hair will become dry and frizzy. So you have to watch out with that. Keep in eye on the dew point in your area. When you expect there will be trouble, try to avoid humectants, especially in your leave-in products and stylers.
Humectants: glycerin (the strongest I think!), pathenol (vitamin B5), sorbitol (my hair hates it, it's strong for me), honey, aloe vera. And several others I believe.
