I was having this same problem. Well not a problem really because it wasn't that noticeable once I learned how to manage it. I'd apply extra product to the left, scrunch extra on that side, and then break the curls on the right by tugging and raking a little once it was dry to even out my hair. But then I went to my hairdresser today and asked her what was up and she did some strategic layering. I'm so happy. I came home and rewet my hair and styled it my way and it's drying even. I don't have to mess with it at all. If you have someone you trust with your hair I'd suggest a haircut/reshaping. if you don't, try extra product and more scunching on the less curly side, and the other techniques I described on the other.
