ITDE- thanks, lady! I've never thought about "boosting" my roots by clipping further down. I'll have to try that technique out. And yes, more layers take away from the definition for us super fine curlies. I've been pineappleing at night and it seems to make the process SLIGHTLY easier in the mornings.
