I am ok with having to pay more for having curly or thick hair. I also think it makes sense for a stylist to charge more for styling long hair but not for cutting it. However I do think many places are overcharging because they can get away with it.

I go to a Ouidad trained stylist who is a master stylist and co- owner. His cuts cost $120. Since I never have him do the full shampoo and styling, I'm usually charged $45 for a trim and shape or $65 for conditioning and a cut. He is reasonable.
