Can anyone here use amino acids?

I read that they're good for protein sensitive hair because supposedly they are a less intense form of protein that will help with moisture renention.

I'm trying to overhaul my current routine to incorperate more natural yet protein free products; I'm almost there, but the Aubrey b5 gel I planned on getting has amino acids

My hair still has not fully recovered from protein overload so I have no idea which individual proteins aggravate it.
