Oh plz, i know that feeling. I am Haitian too. But i haven't been asked that question directly.

Anyways this hasn't happened to me but my friend. This guy comes up to her and says, Oh how you get your hair so curly? She replied, i didn't get it this way, i had it this way. She was asked that twice.
I do think she has a texturizer.
