If you're going to wear it curly, I say go for it because little things don't show. Nevertheless, I just don't trust myself when it comes to cutting my hair evenly. I can do bangs and short hair okay, but longer hair is a challenge. I always seems to snip off more than I intended (thanks to curl shrinkage) and then I don't do it right. For instance, my stylist cuts my hair at angles. Diagonal lines from here and there. That makes the hair look more tapered, textured and encourages ringlets to form. I'm not so good at the angles. I wind up cutting straight across and that causes my hair to frizz/expand because the ends are sort of blunt it can have a fraying effect. It also messes my curls' shape. But that's my experience. Chances are you could have a real knack for it.
