It makes my scalp itch if left in too! Shea cashmere is an HG rinse out as is suave coconut. I think it's the stearalkonium chloride, cuz the methyl.....preservative in suave, if left in does not make me itch or burn...just a thought...my skin is very reactive, (nut oils, triglycerides, excessive essential oil...), so my hair has to be picky on behalf of my scalp and face
