I'm thinking I'm going to be making macarons next time I go home. I have the millions of egg whites for them. I have freeze-dried strawberries and also mango. I am liking the idea of mango macarons with a coconut filling, though I haven't settled on a buttercream or mousseline or perhaps something else as the vehicle.
Strawberry macarons with perhaps a creme fraiche or cream cheese-laced filling.
And because I still have coffee beans, coffee macarons with coffee or coffee-caramel buttercream.
Plus some top secret stuff because I might send it to some curlies.*
