The only place I've ever read questioning low porosity hair and protein is on the texture/porosity page on, which is why I don't give out that link.

My fine/low porosity hair never met a protein it doesn't like. I do at least on PT a week and use a lot of products with protein.

I usually use moisturizing PTs like CJ Repair Me or SS Protein Repair, so I don't need to do a DT when I'm done. You can also do the Gelatin PT that IAgirl posted, you'd have to search for that.

Other then gelatin, I don't usually do the food PTs like egg, mayo, amino acids, yogurt, etc. Can't stand the way my hair smells after a lot of these.
