Does any one outside the NY/NJ area call it a pie? Out here in CA if I called to order a large pie, they would think I'd called the wrong number, wanting the bakery. It's simply a large pizza.

One of my friends from Texas calls it pie. I'm not sure if he gets it from his mom who is originally from NY or it's really called that in Texas.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.
