Since you have at least narrowed it down, I'd leave it at that. 1) Although hair types can be helpful as a starting point, there are so many other hair properties that are factors in determine what will and will not work for your hair. 2) I don't know if anyone else has this experience, but my hair type is pretty fluid depending on what I have done to it. For example if I do finger coils it stays more tightly coiled for weeks (although it does get looser with time) than if I do a braid out (even after shampoos). Consistent use of certain products also results in hair that is tighter/looser even when it freshly washed and doesn't have that product in it. I don't think anyone has 1 hair type, more like a type range (like you I'd consider myself a 3c-4a)
