Kathymack, thanks for your reply! I've been thinking about the proteinbalance and I think I now understand why it is so essential to balance out the emollients. Isn't it because protein kind of supports the structure of the curl because curls are partly made up of keratin? So if the moisture level is too high because of an overabundance of emollients, you need lots of protein to balance that and retain curl structure. Am I right with this?
