I know that term, but I really didn't feel like she meant it that way.

At any rate, after WAY too much research last night when I should have been sleeping, I found it in this book:

Dewdroppers, Waldos, and Slackers: A Decade-by-Decade Guide to the Vanishing Vocabulary of the Twentieth Century: Rosemarie Ostler: 9780195182545: Amazon.com: Books
