Not sure if your styling products have silicones or not, but if not... Use the shampoo on your scalp only. Seriously... put a little on your fingertips and massage your scalp like crazy then rinse. Then use your rinse out conditioner on the length of your hair. That way you aren't drying out your hair. I dye my hair on a pretty regular basis and using that technique has seriously helped my hair. I also switched over to a sulfate free low-poo. I started out washing every other day. A year later, I now only wash on Tuesdays and Fridays unless something happens to necessitate another washing (like swimming in a lake). It took about a month for my scalp to adjust, but once it did, it was a lot less oily than before.
