Now that I'm 15 months into being a curly I'm always looking for other curlys in hiding. I never would go up to anyone and offer to do their hair but boy am I tempted LOL.
So a friend of a friend has the most beautiful 3c curls and he casually mentioned how much he hates his hair. I felt like I had an opening so I offered to help, he accepted, and his hair looks awesome! He loves the results, and it's only been a week. I actually witnessed a girl boing one of his curls at a party!!
Our mutual friend is also on the wagon now. I'm taking her shopping for her products soon. I also converted my mom and sister, (they are wavies themselves) as well as curly MIL, SIL and a few cousins. With all the info on hair properties, I felt I could give everyone decent advice on starter products and techniques. All thanks to NC, and it is amazing. I have 3 more curly "students" in the next few weeks and I can't wait. None of us should hate our hair, and it is sooo exciting to be able to help.
So just thought I'd share that, and if anyone has curly students of your own I'd love to hear the story
