As ling as you arent planning to work in an area where your beliefs would cause conflict (ie don't go work for an Obgyn) I don't see how that would he a problem.

Regarding the experience aspect, pretty much every job post in every field says that, just likeany ask for a degree even though they will interview and hire without one.

I would talk to the school and find out what options there are for placements and support finding a job, and what sort of employment rates their graduates have before committing. Also find out what your options are for part time work in the field while you study who h would give you experience and an edge over other new graduates.
