I highly doubt hair will absorb protein from ground peanuts, the molecules are far too large and many will be bound within the cell wall. The hair can absorb free amino acids and hydrolysed protein - chopped into small pieces using enzymes - it's likely the fats and humectants in the mix that are making hair shiny and bouncy. Ditto eggs.
